JUNE 4, 2006 -- A sheriff's deputy in Bladen County is recovering after being shot during a drug raid. Corporal Ray Marlowe was shot late Friday afternoon during a raid at a home on Armfield Street in Dublin.
Marlowe, along with about 15 other officers, were outside the house when four shots were fired from inside. Officials say one of those shots, fired by 20-year-old Lee Randall, hit Marlowe in the hip.
Authorities arrested Randall and his girlfriend, 42-year-old Lisa Cashwell Hayne. Both are in the Bladen County Jail. They face several charges including attempted murder and drug charges.
Marlowe was taken to Duke Hospital but is now recovering at home.
