Local School Children Practice Random Acts of Kindness

JUNE 2, 2006 -- Some local school children are taking random acts of kindness to a new level.

It's "Kindness Week" at Forest Hills Elementary school. Children are asked to complete acts of kindness every day.

For each kind thing they do either at home, school, or in the community, two investment firms will donate one dollar to a charity organization.

They racked up a lot of money at school Friday. They hosted a meal for local senior citizens in the cafeteria. That money goes toward helping impoverished people in the African country of Sudan.

To get involved, you can attend a meeting Friday night at Creek Side Yacht club from 6:30 to 8:30.

You can also visit them on the web at www.makewaypartners.org.
