Friends and Family Create Memorial for Motorcyclist
JUNE 1, 2006 -- Friends and family of a dead motorcyclist are mourning his loss and creating a memorial where the young man died.
20-year-old Stephen Plocki died on Shipyard Boulevard after hitting a pick-up truck turning left onto Newkirk Avenue. Police say Plocki was driving around 100 miles per hour.
Thursday, Plocki's friends spent the day picking up pieces from the accident and creating a memorial. They describe him as a fun-loving person who laughed a lot. They plan to keep Plocki's memory alive.
Police do not believe charges will be brought against the woman driving the pick-up.
