Man Arrested for Two Robberies in Wilmington

MAY 25, 2006 -- A man who robbed a Wilmington pharmacy at gun point is in jail and that pharmacy isn't the only store he's accused of robbing. William Bryant was arrested last Saturday for robbing the Rent-a-Center on Oleander Drive.

Thursday, Wilmington detectives also charged Bryant with robbing the Medicine Shoppe on Oleander Drive earlier this month. Detectives say Bryant walked into the Medicine Shoppe with a gun and demanded methadone and other drugs.

Someone also tried to bore a hole in the ceiling of the pharmacy. Detectives are looking into whether Bryant had anything to do with that.

Bryant is in the New Hanover County jail under a $150,000 bond.
