Click It or Ticket Campaign at Work in Wilmington

MAY 25, 2006 -- A clever setup by local law enforcement surprised drivers Thursday morning and had them pulling away with tickets.   Wilmington police decoys wore orange vests, posing as inmates working near the road.  As cars passed them on Randall Parkway, they called in traffic violations to officers just down the street.  That's where they were waiting to pull people over and hand out tickets.

From seatbelt violations to expired registrations, there was a ticket waiting for many drivers. It's all a part of the governor's "Click It or Ticket" campaign and officers say the pullovers proved successful within minutes.
