Student Stabbed and Killed Outside SC Schools

MAY 18, 2006 -- Horry County authorities say an 18-year-old student has died after being stabbed Thursday morning outside two schools near Conway, South Carolina.

Natalia Allison Holmes, a student at Carolina Forest High School, was stabbed in a parking lot between the high school and Carolina Forest Middle School shortly before 8:00am. Police say several school employees and students saw the stabbing.

Twenty-four-year-old Edwin Lee Cornelius of Aynor was arrested shortly after the stabbing. Both schools were on lock-down following the stabbing. School remained in session, but parents were allowed to individually remove their children.
