Third Duke Lacrosse Player Indicted Claims He's Innocent

MAY 15, 2006 -- A third Duke University lacrosse player has been indicted with rape and sexual assault. His indictment comes in connection with an off-campus party on March 14.

David Evans was arrested on Monday and charged with first degree forcible rape, sexual offense and kidnapping.

An exotic dancer hired to perform at the party claims she was raped by three lacrosse players.

Evans is a 23-year-old senior at Duke and serves as the lacrosse team captain. Evans says he is innocent of all the charges brought against him.

Last month, Evan's teammates Reade Seligmann and Collin Finnerty were indicted on similar charges. Seligmann and Finnerty are out on bail.
