Two Recovering From Stab Wounds After Dispute in Wilmington

MAY 14, 2006 -- An afternoon dispute in one Wilmington neighborhood sent two people to the hospital with stab wounds.

Police are still investigating exactly what caused a loud scene on the 300 block of Kidder Street. The fight broke out around 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

Once police arrived on scene, tempers continued to flare over a dispute that ended with two people injured. Their conditions and identities are not being released at this time.

Police recovered five knives and a hammer from the scene. They say they are not sure what caused the altercation.

When they left the scene, some officers were on their way to New Hanover Regional Medical Center to talk with the victims.
