Nine Behind Bars After Cumberland County Drug Raid

MAY 6, 2006 -- Nine people are arrested after a drug raid in Cumberland County.

During the two day drug raid, police found large amounts of cocaine and marijuana. They also found firearms and more than $17,000 in cash.

On Thursday morning, Joseph Whaley, 58, Jalaisha Tucker, 16 and Ronnie Smiling, 22, were arrested at a home on Kimberly Drive. The three are now facing drug trafficking charges.

That same day, authorities raided a home in the Crystal Springs mobile home park. That's where they arrested Dekenderic Graham, 23, Steven Locklear, 17, and 23-year-old Paul Williams. They are now facing charges of possession and drug trafficking.

On Friday, authorities arrested Anthony Carroway, 23, Corey Council, 23, and 27-year-old Michael Loughran. They were arrested at a home on Culbreth Road in Fayetteville. At last check, Graham was the only one out of jail on bond.
