APRIL 28, 2006 -- There's a very special canine out there who is being called a wonder dog.
He's at no loss for love, even after losing his home.
Max Mccloud is a dog who fell victim to Hurricane Katrina.
Max's family had to leave him in New Orleans in order to evacuate to Houston.
Max found a foster home in Wilmington, but was taken away because his new home was an apartment and because he's so big.
Max has been with the Coastal Horizons Center ever since, but he's now suffering from heartworms.
Still his new, temporary family says his spirits are high.
If you'd like to donate money for Max's medical expenses, he does have a fund. You can visit www.helpsavemax.com
