Prosecutors Hope to Increase Bond in Wilmington Rape Case

APRIL 20, 2006 -- Prosecutors announced Thursday that they are going to try to increase the bond amount for two men who are charged with raping a 13-year-old girl.  Twenty-four year old Josh Alford and his 21-year-old brother, Shawn Floyd were arrested last week on several rape charges. The next morning, they both made bail.  Floyd is under a $5,000 bond and Alford is under a $10,000 bond. Family members and friends of the victim are outraged that the bond was not increased when they appeared before a judge on Monday.  District Attorney Ben David tells us they are hoping to raise their bond to $100,000 each.
