APRIL 19, 2006 -- Another lawsuit has been filed against the city of Wilmington from Katherine Moore. The former city councilwoman has filed a second lawsuit against the city she used to serve. It stems from the same DWI arrest that led to her first lawsuit. That charge was dropped after a test showed Moore wasn't intoxicated.
Moore has consistently said she was unfairly targeted by police. The Wilmington Star-News reports Moore is seeking more than 1$ million in her new lawsuit, claiming the city's civil service commission violated her civil and constitutional rights.
Moore asked for $15 million in her first lawsuit. That case is pending in a federal appeals court.
