Local College Students Help with Hurricane Relief Efforts

APRIL 19, 2006 -- A group of students from Cape Fear Community College is getting ready to hit the road.  They are heading to Mississippi for a four-day trip to volunteer in the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina. This service-learning trip is part of a course on interpersonal communications. Course instructor Karen Brown has high hopes that her students will have an experience of a lifetime.  The group will return to Wilmington on Sunday.
