APRIL 6, 2006 -- The dry conditions may have helped a controlled burn in New Hanover County get out of control.
The fire was burning Thursday afternoon on Rock Hill Road in the Wrightsboro area when it spread to a nearby barn. The barn was destroyed.
No one was hurt and the owner of the barn says there was nothing of value inside the structure.
Sources say the man came into the restaurant with his family, got up and left, then drove his car into the building.
