Authorities Investigate Teen Beaten at Local Park

MARCH 17, 2006 -- A Columbus County teenager remains in a coma after he was attacked at a local park.

Jerome Bullock, 19, was found unconscious and bloody laying in West Whiteville Park in Whiteville. Bullock is a former student at Whiteville High School.

A woman who lives near the park found Bullock and alerted the police.

WECT was at the police department Friday when officers were questioning two people they say could be suspects.

Police have not made an arrest. If you have any information, please contact authorities in Columbus County.
