Raynor Goes to Court for Rape and Kidnapping Charges
FEBRUARY 16, 2006 -- The Brunswick County man accused of raping two girls in Ocean Isle Beach five years ago made his first court appearance Thursday. Larry Raynor of Supply stood quietly in the courtroom, often looking toward the ground, as he was told he could face up to eight life sentences for his sexual assault charges.
In all, Raynor faces 23 felony counts stemming from the Ocean Isle Beach attack. That includes kidnapping, rape and sexual assault charges. Raynor also exchanged glances with family members who were in the courtroom.
Raynor's bond remains at $1 million after a request to reduce it was denied. He is back in court on March 1.
