FEBRUARY 4, 2006 -- Residents are being urged to avoid contact with waters in the area of Bradley Creek on Wrightsville Avenue.
Officials from the New Hanover County Engineering Department say elevated levels of bacteria seeped into Bradley Creek after a sewer line broke.
It is unknown at this time how much waste leaked out, but officials say no fish kills have been reported.
