Children (3rd grade and up) will create a hand-sewn fabric doll. Approximately 18” tall, students may choose their doll to be anything from skateboarders, soccer players and rock stars, to cheerleaders, princesses, or a model of themselves. No experience required. Each Monday, 3:30 – 5:30 PM, 4 weeks. Feb. 13 – March 6. Fee: $40.00, plus $10.00 materials fee.
Level 1: An introduction to drawing covering basic skills as well as exploring value and design. Learn how to use shading, incorporate perspective and develop your own style of expressing the visual form. Each Tuesday, 1:00 – 2:30 PM.
Level 2: An extension of Level 1 incorporating a variety of drawing media and subject matter, including still life and outdoor landscape. Each Tuesday, 3:00 – 4:30 PM.
Students may join any of the 4-week sessions. Fee: $80.00 each session (supplies extra). 1st session: Feb. 14 – March 7, 2nd session: March 14 – April 4, 3rd session: April 11 – May 2, 4th session: May 9 – 30.
Level 1: An introduction to mixing paints, shading, using perspective, value, light and color. Each Thursday 1:00 – 2:30 PM.
Level 2: Continuing with oil painting techniques using various still life and outdoor landscape subjects. Each Thursday, 3:00 – 4:30 PM.

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) uses precious metal in an organic clay binder. Objects are fired at a high temperature; the organic binder is burned off, leaving either fine silver or 24 kt. gold.
Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (PMC)
Participants will get a supply of clay, jewelry findings, some basic tools and quality instruction. The instructor will provide more elaborate tools and supplies, including a kiln and lapidary tumbler. Students will make two to three pieces of finished jewelry and acquire the basic skills needed to make simple jewelry at home with a minimum of equipment. Saturday March 18, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Fee: $100.00, includes all supplies.
Intermediate Precious Metal Clay
Students should have had the Intro class or prior experience with PMC or Art Clay Silver and bring their own basic tools. Intermediate PMC will offer other forms of metal clay, including extruded and paper forms of PMC plus the use of ceramic bead forms to create silver beads. Saturday April 8, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Fee: $80.00, includes clay and ceramic bead blanks.
One Stroke Painting
Certified Donna Dewberry Instructor
Made famous by PBS TV instructor Donna Dewberry, Carol has extensive training in this fun, fast-paced painting technique and designs new projects for each session. Paint on a variety of surfaces such as slate, wood, fabric, terra cotta or glass. Students will take home several projects in this class for beginners and continuing students. Each Wednesday, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, 6 weeks. Fee: $80.00 per session, supplies purchased separately. 1st session: Feb. 15 – March 22, 2nd session: April 5 – May 10.
Want to do something creative with all those corks you’ve been saving? Have you kept corks from a special occasion? It takes approximately 4dozen corks to create a 10” cork wreath that will add a natural decorative touch to your kitchen or wet bar. Bring your own corks (some extras will be provided if you don’t have enough). A straw wreath form, green moss to fill in space around the corks, a variety of dried flowers and herbs for a natural arrangement and a raffia bow to adorn your wreath will be provided. Monday March 6, 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. Fee: $25.00.
Learn the traditional method of making hooked rugs using wool fabric strips. Designing and how to finish your rug will also be covered. Each Monday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, 4 weeks, April 3 – 24. Fee: $30.00, plus $20.00 materials fee.
A good class for beginners or continuing students. Learn the copper foil method of stained glass to make a hanging window panel. Each Tuesday, 6:30 – 9:30 PM, 7 weeks, Feb. 14 – March 28. Fee: $80.00, plus supplies purchased separately. Contact us if you’re interested in an April – May session.
Pine Needle Weaving
Natural pine needles, sinew or raffia and a sand dollar for the center will be used to make this dish-like basket. Students will learn to coil and use three stitches, plain, wrap and wheat. Each Tuesday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, 4 weeks. March 7 – 28. Fee: $45.00, plus $20.00 materials fee.
