JANUARY 27, 2006 -- There's good news for Wilmington residents. The city council doesn't think property taxes will have to go up. The council hasn't made a formal decision on the issue, but all signs point to a stable tax rate for the next year.
City spokeswoman Malissa Talbert says the council is also hoping to keep parking rates and golf greens fees the same. Water and sewer rates may go up, but given the major repairs needed on the sewer system that's no surprise.
