Two Charged with Breaking Into Home, Stealing Car

DECEMBER 28, 2005 -- Two people accused of driving off in a stolen car didn't drive far enough. Police caught up with them early Monday morning.

Police say they found Michael Lee Hewlett and Paula Hand Lemasters in a car in a parking lot on New Centre Drive around 4:00am.

The car was registered to a house on Jumping Run Road. When officers checked the house they realized it had been broken into. Some checks and the car were missing.

Hewlett and Lemasters are charged with breaking and entering and larceny.
