OCTOBER 25, 2005 -- It will be difficult for some residents near Monkey Junction to forget civil rights leader Rosa Parks. That's because the street they live on is named after her.
Tuesday, residents of Rosa Parks Lane in Wilmington remembered the civil rights icon with a wreath and yellow rose. Barbara Dinkens and her neighbors decided on the road name 15 years ago. They say Wilmington didn't have any roads named after living legends.
Now that Parks is gone, Dinkens says she still represents strength to all generations.
