New Airline Brings International Flair to Airport

OCTOBER 20, 2005 -- Wilmington's airport expects to draw more passengers with a new airline that has an international appeal.

Luxury flights to London and Bermuda from Wilmington are scheduled to start this winter, and airport officials are expecting a high-flying response. The new flights are expected to draw businesspeople and tourists from both sides of the Atlantic, linking the airport's new destinations.

The airline, Fly First Class, is hopeful its fares can draw people in, and some local travel agents think that could be true.

Right now, the airport and the airline are hoping passengers will compete for Fly First Class's leather seats.

Start saving your pennies. Fly First Class estimates a round trip fare to London will run about $1,600.
