Dollar Tree sets up in former Rite Aid store

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Rite Aid store near the intersection of Shipyard Blvd. and South College Rd. is now a Dollar Tree.

After that Rite Aid store closed in May, it remained vacant until Thursday when crews were spotted hanging signs for Dollar Tree.

Large green letters, banners, and indoor renovation are among the ongoing work on the building.

The 14,000 square foot store is expected to open in October and Dollar Tree stores usually employ 12 to 20 people.

There are four other Dollar Trees in New Hanover County.
