WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - After a two-year hiatus, the Landfall Foundation's Legends of Tennis event returns to Wilmington.
The celebrity tennis tournament will be held Sept. 14 at the Landfall Sports Center.
Tennis legends attending this year include six-time Grand Slam winner Rennae Stubs, French Open doubles champion Luke Jensen, French Open finalist Mikael Pernfors, NCAA All-American Bret Garnett, and US Open semifinalist Melanie Oudin.
This year's headliner is American tennis legend Mardy Fish, who was formerly ranked No. 1 in the United States and No. 7 in the world. Fish has 20 career ATP singles finals victories, and a 2006 Olympic silver medal.
The legends hit the courts Sept. 14 from 6-8 p.m. and Sept. 15 from 1-4 p.m.
The event is open to the public and tickets are $35 per person, per day.

Tournament proceeds benefit the Landfall Foundation, which supports local non-profit organizations. Since its inception in 1995, the Landfall Foundation has given away over $4 million.
