WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Search warrants detail what happened between a former UNCW assistant swim coach and a 15-year-old girl earlier this month.

Nicholas John Walkotten, 32, of Garner, was arrested last Thursday by Raleigh police on one count of indecent liberties with a child and four counts of statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15, according to court records.

WRAL reported Friday that Walkotten's encounter with the 15-year-old in a parking lot included him kissing the girl and performing multiple sex acts on her.

In an interview with police, Walkotten confessed to meeting the victim and said the meeting had been planned in advance, the warrant states.

When Walkotten, who is being held in the Wake County Jail on a $1.5 million bond, dropped the victim off at her home following the encounter, the victim's father saw her exit his car and questioned her, according to the warrant. When Walkotten sent her a text message, the victim's mother replied and Walkotten, believing he was still messaging the teen, responded by telling her to delete all texts between them.

Walkotten joined UNCW's coaching staff for the 2014-15 season. He was an assistant coach for the Marlins of Raleigh Swim Team for the past three years before being fired two weeks prior to his arrest, WRAL reports.
