WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A busy Wilmington intersection has reopened following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.
According to Wilmington police, the crash occurred at the intersection of 17th and Dawson streets just after 2 p.m. New Hanover County Dispatch said the area was reopened to traffic around 6:30 p.m.
During the crash, one of the vehicles damaged a utility pole knocking out power to a small number of residents near the crash site. No one was injured.
Crews with Duke Energy were on the scene to repair the damage and police advised drivers to find alternate routes around the congestion until the intersection reopened.
