Local Business Donates to Katrina Victims

SEPTEMBER 20, 2005 -- Hurricane Katrina victims have not been forgotten in our area, even with the new tropical developments and Hurricane Ophelia.

Employees at Liberty Healthcare services of North and South Carolina rose over $25,000 for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

That amount was then matched by the company's owners, making for a grand total $51,000.

The Wilmington office celebrated the accomplishment on Monday.

The money is now in the hands of the American Red Cross and will help the clean up process along the gulf coast.
