A man wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Little River, SC was arrested Wednesday morning in Brunswick County.
According to a news release from the Horry County Police Department, Anthony Wade McKeithan, 38, of Supply, was taken into custody by deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office following a traffic stop in the Longwood area.
McKeithan is accused of entering the BB&T — located on US 17 in Little River — Tuesday afternoon and sliding a teller a note demanding money. He allegedly left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses told police that he left the bank in a dark-colored Chrysler 300 and was headed towards Brunswick County.
McKeithan is charged with robbery/entering a bank, depository or bldg. and loan association with intent to steal. He is additionally charged by the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office with resisting an officer.
He's currently being held in the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $755,000 bond and is awaiting extradition to South Carolina.
