Wilmington man wanted in connection to Leland assault, theft

LELAND, NC (WECT) - A Wilmington man is wanted in connection to an assault and theft in Leland, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office.

Michael Tyrone Loyde, 50, is wanted on charges including assault inflicting serious injury, financial card theft and larceny of a motor vehicle.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff's office states that the charges stem from an incident that took place at a residence in Highwood Court on Tuesday.

Loyde, who is 5'9" tall, may be driving a gray 2008 Nissan Altima.
