Race helps college students with tuition, books and fees

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

An event will help college students with tuition, books and fees.

Cape Fear Community College Sea Devil Athletics and the Cape Fear Community College Foundation will hold the annual CFCC Bridge to Bridge Run on Thursday. Runners have the options of running 4 miles or walking 2 miles. There's also a mile-long walk/run for kids. 

Runners will head from the Isabel Holmes Bridge to the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge through scenic areas of downtown Wilmington using the Riverwalk.

Registration is at 6 p.m. and the race begins at 7 behind Union Station at 502 North Front Street.

Proceeds from this event will be used to offer financial assistance to CFCC student athletes with tuition, books, and fees.
