CFCC hosting STEM Activity Day

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Students of all ages can get a hands-on learning experience at STEM Activity Day this weekend.

Claire Primrose is in the WECT studio for Tuesday's First at Four to discuss the free event, which is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cape Fear Community College's Union Station.

STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) Activity Day features robotics, an engineering challenge, math games, roller coaster building and discovering why some living organisms glow in the dark.

Corning, General Electric, the Brunswick County Nuclear Plant and the American Nuclear Society of Wilmington will be on hand while the event is taking place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
