The town of Carolina Beach has won a key ruling in its plans to move forward with the redevelopment of the Federal Point shopping center.
In January, the town moved forward with a developers plan to remodel the center. With that approval, the developers of Federal Point, GHK Development, were not interested in connecting to the proposed Harris Teeter property next door. Jubilee, the company putting in that Harris Teeter, said that was part of their plans approved by council earlier. Jubilee took the issue to court.
A judge ruled in favor of the town's permit to not have that interconnectivity earlier this month.
Jubilee has the rest of the month to decide if it will appeal.
