A man and a woman are accused of kidnapping and assaulting two victims after allegedly breaking into a home in Brunswick County early Sunday morning.
Brenton Ludke, 27, and Kaitlin Massey, 23, were arrested by the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office on Sunday.
Both have been charged with first-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree kidnapping. Massey also was charged with assault by strangulation while Lidke faces a count of simple assault.
According to arrest warrants, Ludke and Massey are accused of breaking into a residence in the 2000 block of Cherrytree Road between 1 and 3 a.m. on Sunday.
The warrants state that the two suspects confined and restrained the victims "for the purpose of terrorizing" them.
Massey is accused of "wrapping a yellow keychain coil and arm around" a female victim's neck. Ludke allegedly struck a male victim.
According to online records, Massey is being held under a $250,000 bond while Ludke's was set at $150,000.
