(WECT) - Ricky Benton Racing, based out of Columbus County, finished 32nd qualifying for the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway Saturday afternoon.
The team from Cerro Gordo will begin Sunday's race back in the pack as the crew looks to build off their 14th-place finish at the Daytona 500.
In his first ever Cup Series race, Timothy Peters drove the No. 92 Ford Fusion for the team and posted a top speed of 187.068 mph and a fastest lap time of 51.19 seconds.
