UNCW women's golf in third-place after opening round of CAA women's golf championship (Source: WECT)
ST. JAMES, NC (WECT) -
UNCW’s Lyberty Anderson, the reigning Colonial Athletic Association champion, shot a 3-over par 75 to help UNCW to a third-place start in the opening round of the CAA women’s golf championship at The Reserve Club at St. James Plantation on Friday.
The Seahawks carded a 19-over 307, eight strokes behind tournament leader College of Charleston, which is 11-over par. Delaware, the defending CAA champion, is in second place at 305.
The second round begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
