San Diego Padres top prospect MacKenzie Gore made his debut for the Fort Wayne Tincaps Tuesday night in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Gore, a former Whiteville High School standout, gave up two runs on five hits and struck out four in three innings. He left with the game tied 2-2 and didn’t factor into the decision.
Gore faced 14 batters and threw 66 pitches, 42 for strikes.
Major League Baseball ranks Gore as the top left-handed pitching prospect in all of baseball.
