WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The 65th Annual Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour invites you to enjoy Southern hospitality and the pretty colors of spring, as you visit gardens throughout Wilmington.
"Bloomin' Beautiful!" is the event's theme this year.
The tour opens Friday April 13 at 10:00 a.m. with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Greenfield Park Amphitheater.
The event supports the Cape Fear Garden Club, Inc. which promotes beautification projects within New Hanover County.
Former Azalea Queen Sydney Penny and two of the current belles, Sarah Newton and Chase Jones, joined us on WECT News First at Four to talk about the event.
The tour includes 9 private gardens throughout the city as well as Airlie Gardens (open Saturday and Sunday only) and the Cape Fear Museum Park.
