WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Jackson Meadows' base hit in the ninth inning clinched a 4-3 win for UNCW baseball after the Diamond Hawks clawed back from a 3-run deficit against Wofford Sunday afternoon.

Meadow's single scored Brycen Baswell from second base and saved UNCW from being swept in the series finale at Brooks Field. UNCW fell behind 3-0 until Ryan Jeffer's home run in the sixth inning scored two and sparked the comeback.

Reliever Clark Cota (3-0) struck out the side in the ninth inning and picked up the win.

UNCW moves to 20-11 on the year and will host nationally-ranked NC State at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
