Wilmington's Arbor Day celebration set for Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The City of Wilmington will hold its annual Arbor Day celebration on Friday, March 16.

The event, which is being held by the Wilmington Tree Commission, begins at 10 a.m. at Winter Park Elementary School, located at 204 MacMillan Ave.

Mayor Bill Saffo will be on hand as a large donated tree is planted. Artwork by Winter Park students also will be showcased.
