When Kathy Snow saw Mary Poppins on Broadway, she told herself that one day she would direct the show.
Now, Snow is bringing Mary Poppins to live on stage in Wilmington.
The show stars Logan Hayes, Mandy Dawson, Zeke Dawson and Emily Skane.
Presented by Kathy Snow Productions, the show runs from Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18 at the Scottish Rite Temple.
The children in the show said they’re enjoying their performances.
“I love it,” said Skane, stars as Jane Banks. “It’s so much fun to embrace because she’s so bratty and it’s fun to embrace that a lot.”
Zeke Dawson, who plays Michael Banks, said his favorite part of the production is the performance of Jolly Holiday.
“Our program is 90% based on children,” said Snow. “Once a year we do an adult/older teen show. We had my son come in and help guest direct, who is a Broadway actor. He taught us a lot about the fact that it’s not Burt or Mary Poppins – the story is about George Banks. So, the idea of bringing a family together and then the fact that it is such a classic, the dance, the choreography, the magic, just to be able to see that on stage.”
