NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (AP/WECT) - The New Hanover County Board of Education passed a proposal that would grant students from Isaac Bear Early College High School and Wilmington Early College High School the ability to play school sports.

Superintendent Tim Markley was scheduled to present the proposal at Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting. No parents or students spoke.

Currently, students at Isaac Bear Early College High School and Wilmington Early College High School do not have the ability to participate in school sports.
