COLUMBIA, N.C. (AP) - Another inmate at a North Carolina prison has been charged with drug offenses.
The Tyrrell County Sheriff's Office told WITN-TV in Greenville that 35-year-old Cory Murchison is charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver schedule III controlled substance and possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance on prison or jail premises.
According to the sheriff's office, Murchison is an inmate at the Tyrrell Prison Work Farm serving time for felony breaking and entering as well as larceny after breaking and entering conviction from Bladen County.
Sheriff Darryl Liverman says Murchison is the 32nd inmate at the Tyrrell prison charged with drug offense in the last eight months.
