City Meeting Will Explain Flooding Solution

AUGUST 15, 2005 -- Residents of a local neighborhood prone to flooding are getting their chance to be part of the solution.

People living along Carolina Sands Drive in Carolina Beach say the area floods anytime there's a heavy rain.

The city wants to fix the problem and they want residents to know what to expect. City officials are holding a meeting to explain a $2-million drainage repair and road repaving project. They also want to answer questions and gather ideas from residents.

The meeting is Thursday, August 18 at 6:00pm in the town hall council chambers.
