A ground-breaking ceremony took place Thursday for two new buildings coming to The Offices of Mayfaire.
Developers, contractors and city leaders gathered at the construction site.
According to the developers, Wilmington Health has committed to a lease of the planned 30,000-square-foot Mayfaire V building.
Software firm nCino has also committed to lease for the 40,000-square-foot Mayfair VI building.
Developer Steve Anderson estimates these offices will create between 100 and 150 jobs for each new building.
"To be able to add 70,000 square feet all at the same time here in the office park is something that we're extremely grateful for," said Anderson.
"We are happy for the community. This has just been a tremendous amount of growth on this end of town."
Construction on the two buildings is scheduled to be completed in 2018. Once open, there will be a total of 6 Mayfaire office buildings in the development.
“We could not be more pleased to have two companies with the reputations of Wilmington Health and nCino wanting to expand their business inside our office park,” Anderson said.
