Strut for Kids will host its first annual Bingo Night to raise money for families affected by childhood cancer on Saturday night.
The event will feature prizes, a buffet dinner, and of course several rounds of bingo.
Families battling cancer can spend thousands of dollars commuting back and forth between hospitals in Raleigh and Chapel Hill.
Proceeds from the event will go to help families cover the costs of treatment and travel.
The bingo night was the brainchild of Owen Preston, who lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.
His picture and story, along with dozens of other cancer patients from the Wilmington area, will be on display for everyone at the event.
The bingo night starts at 5:30 p.m. Saturday night at the Pine Valley Country Club.
