WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Veterans who want to attend the Cucalorus Festival can do so at a reduced rate through a special offer on passes.

In observance of Veterans Day on Friday, Cucalorus Connect will offer two-day passes to veterans for $35. The original fee is $60. Cucalorus Connect, the technology and innovation conference component of the Cucalorus Festival, is scheduled for Thursday and Friday at Cape Fear Community College's Union Station conference center.

On Thursday at 1:45 p.m., the VETRACONx panel will be held. It's a series of TED-style talks followed by a panel discussion featuring local military entrepreneurs. Panelists include US Marine Corps vet Andrew Williams of Elite Innovations LLC, US Army vet Darek Huckbody of Battle House, US Army vet Siobhan Norris of the UNCW Department of Military Affairs and US Marine Corps vet Adam Colter of Belligerent Beard.
