WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Learn how to make delicious fall cocktails that will be good for your Halloween party or just after a long day at work.
Derrick Cook from the KGB bar in Wilmington joined WECT's Ashlea Kosikowski on Friday's First at Four to give step-by-step instructions on how to make a couple of his fall favorites -- the Don Ho and the rosemary smash.
The Don Ho is made up mainly of tequila and roasted pineapple puree with sage simple syrup, which is a mixture of brown sugar, water, sage. Add a tablespoon of pink peppercorns, which Cook said not only makes the drink a little more floral but also makes for a neat sound in the shaker.
The rosemary smash is "one of the first cocktails" Cook created in Wilmington and is one of his favorites. It includes rye whiskey, chilli cherry bitter, fresh rosemary, lemon peel and a sour mix made up of equal parts lemon and simple syrup and egg white and lime.
