CFPUA releases latest GenX testing results

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The latest testing results from the treated water from the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority's Sweeney Water Treatment Plant show GenX levels well below the NC Department of Health and Human Services threshold.

The DHHS has set a health goal of 140 parts per trillion for GenX in drinking water.

The sample taken on Sept. 29 showed a GenX level of 32 ppt while the sample from Oct. 2 was at 38 ppt.
