COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Authorities are looking for a suspect who stole cigars and damaged items after breaking into a Bolton-area gas station early Friday morning.

According to Michele Tatum with the Columbus County Sheriff's Office, someone broke a window at the Sam's Pit Stop located at 1128 Green Swamp Road and entered the business at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Tatum said the suspect damaged items in the store before leaving with some Swisher Sweets Cigars. According to the incident report, about $300 worth of Road Tech Gas Treatment and $300 worth of Gumout Oil Treatment were damaged.

The incident is still under investigation.

On Wednesday, Columbus County police released a video of the alleged break-in.
