NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Fall is here!

For many of you, that means updating your garden to give it a fall feel.

Heather Kelejian from the Ability Garden, which operates on the grounds of the New Hanover County Arboretum, joined us on WECT News First at Four to talk about the plants she recommends for fall.

Some of her recommendations included:

  • Vicks plant
  • Cuban oregano
  • Kale
  • Swiss Chard
  • Radishes
  • Succulents
  • Decorative cabbage
  • Cilantro
  • Dill
  • Tarragon
  • Tuscany basil

Kelejian said all of the plants are available for sale at Art in the Arboretum, which is held Oct. 6, 7 & 8.

More information is available here: https://arboretum.nhcgov.com/events/

They will also be available for sale the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon.
